Planning process model

The following professional learning and development planning model presents a way of identifying annual learning priorities and developing a proposal to achieve them. It incorporates the elements of good planning for professional learning identified in the international literature and adapted to the New Zealand context.

Principals may wish to use some, or all, of this process to plan a proposal for their own professional learning and development. Principals may wish to take advice from a peer or other trusted support person or member/s of their professional network as they work through the planning process.
