School leaders know that building and sustaining good community relationships is important to the well-being and culture of their schools. Building relationships prepares the ground for effective consultation and for creating partnerships.

Building relationships with whānau, hapū, and iwi

Leaders who strengthen partnerships and networks to enhance student learning demonstrate the interpersonal skills needed for building strong relationships with key stakeholder groups such as trustees, parents, whānau, and local organisations.
