Acknowledgements

The Ministry of Education would like to acknowledge the time, ideas, and feedback provided from the sector throughout this process. Contributions from principals, academics, Ministry of Education officials, and union and association representatives have been integral to the development of this paper. These contributions have been gathered through regional think tanks, reference group meetings, national hui, meetings with principals’ associations around the country, and both online and written consultation on the draft.

Regional think tanks were held in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch between November 2006 and March 2007.
