Interview with Michael Fullan: Change Agent

Overview

In this interview Canadian educational researcher, Michael Fullan, explores the links between instructional leadership, school culture, and change. He describes features of professional learning communities that promote change and how to embed change in practice. He also discusses the effects of school culture on change and how to raise the quality of that culture. The importance of relationships to learning and the need to foster independence to be flexible in meeting problems are explained. He describes five key features of leaders and the importance of moral purpose
