Find out about a funded programme to support your language teachers

The Teacher Professional Development Languages (TPDL) Years 7-10 programme supports teachers to acquire the skills they need to be effective language teachers.

Language study is one component of this Ministry of Education-funded programme for secondary and pre-secondary teachers.

As well as language study, teachers complete a graduate level university paper in the latest pedagogy for language teaching. For this paper teachers meet for eight days over the year. Teachers are supported in school (with visits and evidence-based discussion) and on-line. The TPDL caters for all teachers no matter where they are situated in New Zealand.

Expressions of interest are now being invited to join this programme so please let language teachers at your school know about it.
