I love working in this school. I live in town but I've always wanted to live in a rural area, so working at Kaipaki School is a good compromise for me.
I love being part of the school community, especially a small one like this. I've enjoyed watching the goals that the community and I have set for the school come to fruition.
Getting to know the school families, and particularly getting to know their children really well, has been rewarding. There are a number of children who have come right through the school who I knew when they were babies, and I feel as though I am part of their families. Because we know each other so well, I believe that's had a really positive impact on the children's learning.
